Golden Finance reported that the US House Financial Services Committee recently held a hearing to discuss the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY). The bill aims to establish a clear regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency industry, but Trump's close association with the cryptocurrency industry has become a focus of discussion, causing resistance to the bill's progress. At the hearing, some Democratic lawmakers expressed concerns about Trump's involvement in the cryptocurrency field, especially his support for World Liberty Financial and the subsequent launch of stablecoins and Meme, believing that these actions disrupted the discussion process of the bill. Democratic Congressman Gregory Meeks stated that Trump's actions were too extreme to focus on the bill itself. Nevertheless, the bill still received support from some Democratic lawmakers and proposed amendments to relevant provisions regarding conflicting interests. Committee Chairman French Hill stated that the bill will continue to advance in the coming week, but Trump's cryptocurrency investments will remain a focal point of debate.
