BREAKING: The Conference Board Measure of CEO Confidence dropped 26 points in Q2 2025, to 34, the lowest since Q4 2022. This marks the largest quarterly decline in the survey's history, which began in 1976. A reading below 50 points means that more CEOs' responses were negative about business and industry conditions than positive. 82% of 133 surveyed executives said economic conditions were worse than 6 months ago, up from 11% in the previous quarter. 64% of respondents expect economic conditions to deteriorate over the next 6 months, up from 15% in Q1 2025. The share of CEOs expecting a recession over the next 12-18 months rose to 83%. CEOs are concerned.
