Odaily Planet Daily News: According to official announcements, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced that due to the recent increase in phishing attacks, it plans to redeploy its virtual asset withdrawal delay system on June 17, 2025. The withdrawal of virtual assets after the first Korean won deposit will be delayed by 72 hours, and the withdrawal of equivalent virtual assets for subsequent Korean won deposits will be delayed by 24 hours. An example of applying the 24-hour withdrawal delay system is: if there is an existing 1 million Korean won and then another 2 million Korean won is deposited, totaling 3 million Korean won, then only 1 million Korean won of virtual assets can be withdrawn every 24 hours; If 2 million Korean won is deposited and there is no Korean won balance before, the withdrawal of virtual assets will be restricted for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the equivalent of 2 million Korean won can be withdrawn.
