Participated the Mass of Inauguration for @Pontifex in St. Peter's Square. I had the honor of congratulating His Holiness on beginning his sacred mission as the successor of St. Peter. I expressed our deep gratitude that the Holy See had never recognized the occupation of Lithuania – a truth that gave strength to our people during Soviet oppression. With hope and faith, I invited him to visit Lithuania – the Land of Virgin Mary, where all await his apostolic blessing.
