On May 15th, according to Cointelegraph, the latest report from blockchain compliance company AMLBot showed significant delays in Tether's wallet blacklist mechanism, resulting in the successful transfer of over $78 million in illegal funds before the freeze took effect. The report points out that Tether's multi signature contract setup on the Ethereum and Tron blockchains causes an average delay of 44 minutes from submission to effectiveness of blacklists. On the Ethereum chain, approximately 28.5 million USDTs were transferred during the blacklist delay period, with an average of over 365000 USD per transfer. On the Tron chain, there are 49.6 million US dollars that evade freezing, and about 4.88% of marked wallets use this vulnerability to make 2-3 transfers, with an average of 292000 US dollars transferred per wallet.
