Summer Mersinger, a member of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will resign on May 30th and become the CEO of the Blockchain Association on June 2nd. The association is the main lobbying organization for the cryptocurrency industry in Washington. Mersinger was nominated by the Biden administration and supported strengthening cooperation between the CFTC and SEC to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets during his tenure.
