Genesis opens VIRTUAL token staking, introduces veVIRTUAL mechanism and adjusts point allocation method

Odaily Planet Daily News: Genesis project announced that it has officially opened the staking function of its VIRTUAL token. Users can now obtain veVIRTUAL by pledging VIRTUAL, which represents their long-term support for the protocol and future governance rights. The quantity of veVIRTUAL depends on the number of pledged VIRTUALs and the duration of lock up (up to two years), and decreases linearly over time. The point allocation mechanism of the Virtuals ecosystem has been synchronously adjusted, and in the future, 20% of Virgen Points will be distributed to veVIRTUAL holders. In addition, holding veVIRTUAL will also qualify participants for Genesis airdrops.
