US and Japanese officials agree to begin working level consultations

According to BlockBeats, on May 3rd, the US Treasury Department issued a statement on Friday stating that senior officials from the US and Japan have agreed to immediately begin working level consultations based on current discussions and hold more ministerial level meetings in the near future. The statement pointed out that US Treasury Secretary Besson, US Commerce Secretary Lutnick, and US Trade Representative Greer met with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Development, Ryohei Akazawa, on Thursday local time. Both sides had frank and constructive discussions on fair and reciprocal trade.
