Law firm warns Metaplex to change unclaimed SOL handling plan

On April 22nd, according to Cointelegraph, law firm Burwick Law issued an open letter to Solana NFT platform Metaplex, warning that its plan to transfer unclaimed SOL tokens to DAO vaults could lead to litigation. Currently, over 54000 SOLs (worth approximately $6.5 million) have not been claimed. Burwick suggests that Metaplex suspend the program and refund 90% of the funds to NFT holders, retaining only 10% as network maintenance fees. Metaplex originally planned to automatically transfer excess SOL from NFT accounts that have not undergone "adjustment and optimization" to its DAO after the deadline of April 25th. As of now, Metaplex has not responded to this warning.
