Oregon Attorney General accuses Coinbase of identifying 31 cryptocurrency assets as unregistered securities
According to the prosecution documents and compiled by @ EleanorTerrett, the Oregon Attorney General has sued Coinbase, accusing it of violating state securities laws by illegally providing and selling assets identified as "crypto securities" to Oregon residents.
There are a total of 31 tokens, far exceeding the number mentioned in previous SEC cases, covering AAVE, UNI, LINK, MKR, FLOW, XRP, and more.
The document states that Coinbase has long avoided regulatory obligations and assisted in the sale of unregistered securities. Currently, the lawsuit is based on state law rather than federal law, representing a new trend of state level pressure on cryptocurrency platforms.
