Belarus plans to issue CBDC in the second half of 2026

According to Daily Hodl, Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Belarus, announced in a statement that he plans to launch a CBDC next year. The digital form of the Belarusian ruble will be fully circulated in the second half of 2026 and will support the free use of CBDC by businesses, with government agencies and individuals aiming for 2027.
