Renowned CryptoPunk NFT suffered a loss of nearly $10 million and sold off, reaching its largest transaction in nearly 30 days

According to Lookonchain data, a cryptocurrency tycoon sold a CryptoPunk NFT for 4000 ETH (approximately $6 million). The investor purchased the NFT for 4500 ETH (approximately 15.7 million US dollars) a year ago. Due to the ETH price of $3509 at the time of purchase and a 57% drop in ETH at the time of sale, the actual loss amounted to $9.73 million. According to CryptoSlam data, despite experiencing significant losses, this transaction still ranks as the largest NFT transaction in the past 30 days. At present, the floor price of CryptoPunks is about 43 ETH (approximately $68000), down more than 61% from the historical high of 113.9 ETH in October 2021. This transaction reflects the continued downturn of the once hot blue chip NFT market, with NFT trading volume on Ethereum falling by over 53% in the past month.
