According to a report by CoinDesk citing The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, a representative of the Trump family has been in talks to acquire a stake in Binance's US subsidiary. According to sources familiar with the matter, the shares may have been acquired through World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency project supported by the Trump family. Steve Witkoff, a friend of the US President, participated in the negotiation of this transaction. The negotiations began last year when Binance contacted allies of Trump and proposed an agreement with the family to bring the cryptocurrency exchange back to the United States. Binance.US did not respond to requests for comment at the time of release.
