⚡️Claude Fable 5 has been launched!

Subscription users can experience it for free before June 22, and from June 23, it will no longer be free, starting to bill based on API usage quotas.

The price is 10 dollars per million input tokens and 50 dollars per million output tokens, which is twice that of the Opus standard version.

What is the difference between Fable 5 and Mythos 5?

As I mentioned yesterday, it is a toned-down version of Mythos 5; the input will first go through a classifier:

1⃣ If your question is something safe like "how to please my wife" or "how to write an article", the classifier will directly call upon the true capabilities of Fable 5 to respond, maximizing the experience;

2⃣ If your question is something clearly dangerous with ulterior motives like "how to distill models" or "how to synthesize a certain biochemical product", the classifier will immediately raise alarms, switching to Opus 4.8 to answer you, or directly refuse to answer.

However, for the vast majority of people, you won't even need this at all.

The Mythos-level capabilities you will really access are actually Fable 5, so cherish this window of free access!
