In the long run, I believe that the cryptocurrency industry will not die, especially with $BTC. I am personally a firm long-term believer, but this is a completely different concept from content creation.
If your goal is to earn a salary like Musk, then the cryptocurrency market is currently at a low point. The content consumption in the pure crypto space is very limited; right now is indeed the golden period for general traffic. At least, there are no restrictions on content aggregation. The traffic from platforms like TikTok, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, and Douyin is much stronger than cryptocurrency, making it much simpler to earn a salary.
Some friends believe that by focusing on general traffic to accumulate popularity and attention, when cryptocurrency rises again, they can leverage high traffic and high attention to secure better advertisements. Whether this is feasible, I don't know, but I firmly feel that as a content creator, if you don't have a focused niche or voice in that niche, then there is definitely a limit to the ceiling you can reach.
Earlier, some friends mentioned that being a KOL in cryptocurrency is too easy and that making money is simple. From my experience, this is very likely an illusion. When everyone thinks it is easy, it will inevitably raise the barriers to entry in this industry. For example, when everyone averages 20,000 followers and 5,000 views, reaching that standard will enable commercial ads.
When everyone is striving to increase their followers to 100,000 and views to 50,000, the demands from projects will naturally rise as well. This is one aspect; on the other hand, the audience is extremely important. The traffic in cryptocurrency compared to platforms like Twitter and Getter shows a significant gap. This is why high-traffic and high-attention accounts on these platforms do not generate high income. Wang Zhi'an is the best example.
Because each field has its specialization, what project owners may want is not just exposure to "everyone" but rather a demonstration that appeals specifically to users in "that field," attracting more participating users.
Therefore, I personally believe that content creation is difficult, the ceiling for KOLs is limited, and most importantly, the position of KOLs in the industry is the most thankless task.
