Surging enterprise demand for seamless blockchain-to-banking integration is accelerating partnerships focused on compliant stablecoin solutions for high-volume global payments and treasury operations. Financial infrastructure platform Openpayd revealed on July 2 a strategic integration with Ripple to create a unified offering for enterprise-grade stablecoin and fiat payment capabilities.

Under this partnership, Openpayd will embed its fiat services—such as multi-currency accounts, real-time payment rails, and virtual IBANs—into Ripple Payments, Ripple’s global cross-border payment platform. This will allow businesses to send and receive payments in euros and British pounds across Ripple’s blockchain-enabled ecosystem, which spans more than 90 payout markets.

In a major enhancement to its digital asset infrastructure, Openpayd stated:

Openpayd will provide direct minting and burning capabilities for Ripple USD (RLUSD).

“Businesses will be able to seamlessly convert between fiat and RLUSD, accessing OpenPayd’s full suite of services, including embedded accounts, payments, and trading, via a single API,” the firm added.

This integration empowers enterprises to fluidly exchange between fiat and RLUSD, and tap into Openpayd’s API-driven services for embedded finance and digital asset trading. Ripple’s SVP of Stablecoins Jack McDonald emphasized the long-term objective: “The future of global finance depends on seamless interoperability between traditional infrastructure and digital assets.” The executive noted:

Our collaboration with Openpayd gives enterprises reliable access to RLUSD, combining the stability and compliance they expect with the connectivity they need. This is how we accelerate real-world adoption of stablecoins at scale.
