On May 10, 2025, at 12:00 AM Eastern Time, the on-chain trading platform MyStonks.org announced that it has completed a platform update and officially launched a 100% custodial-supported on-chain US stock token market. MyStonks.org stated that crypto users can purchase US stocks through MyStonks, with global asset management giant Fidelity providing custodial services for platform users, with the first batch of custodial assets reaching $50 million.

MyStonks has successfully established a full-cycle process from Fidelity's custody of US stock assets to the generation and destruction of tokens on the Base chain. Users can initiate a request to purchase Stonks100 US stock tokens through the MyStonks platform, transferring USDC or USDT from their self-custodied cryptocurrency wallets to the platform. MyStonks will convert it to USD and purchase the corresponding shares of securities, while minting tokens through a smart contract on the Base chain.

For example, for Apple (AAPL) stock, MyStonks will mint a corresponding share of the AAPL.M token on a 1:1 basis and distribute it to the user's on-chain wallet address. The minted US stock tokens comply with the ERC20 standard, and the exchange process uses ChainLink oracles as the price provider.

If a user wishes to destroy their minted US stock tokens, for example, AAPL.M, they can initiate a sell request for AAPL.M by connecting their self-custodied wallet to MyStonks. The MyStonks platform will perform a reverse operation, converting AAPL.M into stablecoins and transferring them to the user's account, while simultaneously destroying the corresponding AAPL.M on a 1:1 basis.

To ensure the safety and compliance of user assets, MyStonks has partnered with Fidelity, which provides custodial services for the US stock assets of platform users.

A report issued by Fidelity Custody on April 29, 2025, shows that the first batch of US stocks held by MyStonks Holding Limited is valued at over $50 million ($50,473,199.00). The first batch of securities held by MyStonks includes 95 types, such as AAPL, AMZN, DIS, GOOGL, META, MSFT, NFLX, NVDA, corresponding to 95 types of 1:1 equivalent US stock tokens, as well as five crypto and stock ETFs listed in the United States.

A representative from MyStonks.org explained that when users purchase US stock tokens on the platform, the corresponding stocks are held in custody by Fidelity, ensuring the authenticity, compliance, and auditability of the assets. By integrating with Fidelity's custodial infrastructure, MyStonks has achieved a seamless connection between on-chain tokens and off-chain stock assets. As a trusted institution in the traditional financial sector, Fidelity plays a key role in ensuring asset safety and compliance, making it an important partner for MyStonks in realizing tokenized stock trading.

At the same time, MyStonks has upgraded the security of on-chain trading and user experience.

When users initiate buy or sell orders, MyStonks will execute the corresponding operations on-chain, including cross-chain asset management, real stock trading, token minting, or destruction. The entire process is transparent, traceable, and decentralized, allowing users to gain exposure to US stocks in a fully digital and tokenized form.

All buy and sell operations on MyStonks are executed through smart contracts, ensuring immutability and auditability. A decentralized identity system (DID) ensures account uniqueness and prevents fraudulent transaction requests. All core contracts have undergone security audits, and the contract architecture employs a modular design for risk isolation.

MyStonks.org states that off-chain deposit and withdrawal operations require multisig wallet authorization to avoid single points of failure and internal abuse. Cross-chain asset transfers are completed through audited cross-chain protocols. A transaction delay confirmation mechanism (Time-Lock) is implemented to prevent flash attacks. The front end uses HTTPS and HSTS to enforce encrypted access. This upgrade also optimizes the user experience of MyStonks, including support for on-chain limit order trading, enhanced wallet connection experience, refined user account center, and optimized UI layout.
