On the eve of the 2025 Singapore FinTech Festival, the first payment finance (PayFi) network Huma Finance is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Cao as the Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to accelerate regional growth.

Jessica has over 17 years of experience in traditional finance (TradFi), having held senior leadership positions at Ant International, BNP Paribas, Citibank, and Standard Chartered. This appointment highlights Huma's commitment to connecting on-chain finance with traditional finance to promote broader financial inclusion.

Erbil Karaman, co-founder of Huma Finance, stated, "We see Huma and the broader PayFi ecosystem experiencing the strongest growth opportunities in the APAC region. We are fortunate to have Jessica join us to accelerate our ambitious plans and position Huma as the preferred global partner for enterprises across the APAC."

As emphasized in Chainalysis's latest report, the APAC region is becoming a leading market for stablecoin innovation, thanks to forward-looking regulatory developments and increasing corporate adoption. Huma Finance plans to connect stablecoin liquidity with real-world payment needs through its protocol, seizing this momentum.

Jessica's expertise in traditional finance and digital assets uniquely positions her to lead partner expansion, liquidity growth, and product evolution tailored to the APAC market's needs. Her appointment will support Huma's strategy to tokenize receivables and address long-standing pain points in global payment finance, including delays and costs in cross-border payments caused by outdated systems and locked capital.

Jessica stated, "The APAC region offers a unique opportunity to connect traditional finance with emerging blockchain infrastructure. Huma's vision goes beyond payment finance by tokenizing diverse real-world assets on-chain, unlocking liquidity, and providing efficient liquidity solutions for businesses across the region."

This appointment is expected to deepen Huma's collaborations with financial institutions, fintech companies, and various enterprises in the region, paving new paths for the adoption of stablecoins in commercial and payment scenarios.

Huma's protocol has processed over $7 billion in transactions, indicating strong market demand for blockchain payment infrastructure that can connect on-chain capital with real-world economic activities.
