[UBS: Broadcom AI Guidance Adjusted, NVIDIA Expands to Infrastructure, Terafab Construction Launched]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports, according to Tide Research, UBS released its SemiBytes industry commentary on August 24, highlighting simultaneous progress across three key areas: Broadcom, NVIDIA, and SpaceX's Terafab. Broadcom is set to release its Q2 earnings report on September 2. UBS estimates Q3 AI revenue at approximately $16 billion, rising to $21–22 billion in Q4. The 2027 AI revenue forecast has been revised down from approximately $135 billion to around $130 billion, with the target price slightly adjusted from $485 to $470, maintaining a 'Buy' rating. Anthropic is expected to contribute around $2.5 billion in Q3, while Google Cloud AI revenue is projected to increase by approximately $2 billion quarter-over-quarter.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang disclosed a shift in the business model toward compute infrastructure, investing $1.5 billion in SB Energy through the PORTS-Pike project and providing up to $105 billion in credit support to help OpenAI secure 4.25GW of land and power facilities. UBS believes land, power, and factory facilities are becoming strategic input factors in the AI supply chain.
Regarding Terafab, Tesla's recruitment portal listed 44 related positions in July, covering all major semiconductor process steps. Memory design/integration engineer roles have emerged, confirming intentions for in-house memory manufacturing. Satellite imagery of the Grimes County site in Texas shows it remains in the early stages, with only site clearing activities visible.
