[Citadel Has Unwound Over 80% of Risks from Situational Awareness Investment Portfolio]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on August 21, CNBC reported that Citadel founder and CEO Ken Griffin stated in a letter to clients that the company has unwound over 80% of the overall risk from the original investment portfolio acquired from the Situational Awareness hedge fund through more than 100 block trades, involving a market value exceeding $4 billion. Griffin mentioned that Citadel began negotiations with Situational Awareness on July 29 regarding the acquisition of certain holdings; this followed the fund's forced sale of all public equity positions due to significant losses. Griffin also confirmed that Citadel's flagship multi-strategy fund, Wellington, achieved a return of 5.94% in July, marking its best monthly performance since 2022.
