According to monitoring by Beating, former Alibaba Qianwen technical lead Lin Junyang has officially announced his startup Pragmatik Labs, with the Chinese name '语用科技' (Yuyong Keji), abbreviated as p7k. The company is based in Shanghai and focuses on next-generation agents spanning the digital and physical worlds. The official website has yet to reveal specific models or products.
Lin Junyang also confirmed that Gaorong Capital and Sequoia China jointly led this round of funding, with participation from Tencent and the Shanghai Future Industry Fund. This financing was already disclosed back in June of this year. At the time, *The Information* reported that the company’s first round of funding amounted to several hundred million dollars, with Gaorong and Sequoia China each investing approximately $100 million, Tencent contributing around $20 million, and a post-money valuation of approximately $2 billion. While it was previously known that Lin Junyang was starting a business, this marks the first official disclosure of the company’s name and specific direction. [Original Article Link]
