Last Friday, I was watching CXMT (ChangXin Memory Technologies), and the market action was actually pretty interesting.
The market cap briefly touched 4 trillion during the session but closed back at the 3.6 trillion level.
This pullback wasn’t surprising—after all, it’s only been listed for a week. Short-term profit-taking, high-level divergence, and speculative funds all converged at this point.
But what makes CXMT intriguing right now is precisely this kind of divergence.
The bulls are still focused on the long-term narrative of domestic memory, AI demand, and self-reliance, plus there aren’t many shares circulating in the market at the moment.
The cautious crowd has a simpler perspective: at the 4 trillion level, it all comes down to whether future earnings can keep up. If the price pushes higher, will there still be buyers willing to step in?
PredictFun @predictdotfun has also launched a daily market for CXMT’s price movements:
‘Will CXMT (ChangXin Memory Technologies) go up or down on August 3, 2026?’
The gameplay is super simple: if you think it’ll close higher on August 3, buy Up. If you think it’ll close lower, buy Down. Settlement happens at 3 PM.
What I find most fun about this market is watching how expectations shift.
How people bet before the market opens, how prices move when there’s a rally, a pullback, or new information—it’s often more honest than the comment section.
Right now, the market data shows a 38% probability of an increase and a 62% probability of a decrease. Looks like most people think Monday will see a drop.
What do you guys think? Will CXMT push for 4 trillion again on Monday, or will it take some time to digest the high-level sentiment?
