[South Korean Stocks Plunge, Triggering Forced Liquidation Pressure, Total Reverse Trading Amount on Monday and Tuesday Reaches Approximately 36.9 Billion KRW]
BlockBeats News, July 30: After the sharp decline in the South Korean stock market, leveraged capital pressure has begun to surface. According to data from the Korea Financial Investment Association, as of the latest disclosure on July 28, the 'reverse trading' data for South Korean stocks covered the two trading days of Monday and Tuesday this week. Specifically, the actual reverse trading amount on July 27 was 22.961 billion KRW, and on July 28 it was 13.890 billion KRW, totaling approximately 36.851 billion KRW over the two days.
Reverse trading typically refers to the forced sale of stocks by brokerage firms when investors fail to replenish settlement funds or margin on time. This is often regarded in the market as an indicator of 'liquidation' pressure.
During the same period, the unpaid transaction volume in the South Korean stock market continued to rise. On July 27, the unpaid transaction volume was 1.078 trillion KRW, increasing to 1.224 trillion KRW on July 28, indicating that after the rapid market decline, the financial strain on investors is still accumulating.
