The plan involves building AI data centers with a total capacity of approximately 18.4GW and promoting their export industrialization by packaging AI computing power outputs as 'intelligent tokens (AI inference results)' for export. The alliance is co-chaired by both government and private sector representatives, with participation from 12 leading companies, including SK Telecom, Naver Cloud, Samsung SDS, Kakao, KT, and LG Electronics. The South Korean government stated that major U.S. tech companies are paying attention and have hinted at large-scale investments in South Korea. The Financial Services Commission plans to expand the 'National Growth Fund' to approximately 200 trillion KRW, allocating 30% to 40% of it to AI, semiconductors, and power infrastructure to support the construction of large-scale AI data centers and related industrial chains.
