[Morgan Stanley: AI Computing Power Gap Expands, Five Key Directions Emerge] According to Deep Tide TechFlow, based on research by Tide Research, Morgan Stanley's Global Thematic Strategy Report on July 27 pointed out that the recent pullback in the AI infrastructure sector is driven by sentiment rather than a fundamental shift. The supply-demand gap for AI computing power will continue to widen, and this adjustment presents a window for allocation. The report outlines five key investment directions: 1. AI Infrastructure Bottlenecks (power shell providers such as Talen Energy, Vistra, Bloom Energy, Hut 8, etc.) 2. Computing Power Manufacturing Ecosystem (NVIDIA, Broadcom, Micron) 3. Chinese AI Solutions (ByteDance, Alibaba, Tencent accelerating capital expenditures, with AI chip self-sufficiency expected to rise from 42% to 70%) 4. Energy Security (South Korean power equipment manufacturers benefiting from U.S. transformer shortages, including HD Hyundai Electric, LS Electric) 5. Hyperscale Vendors (Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, with AI capital expenditure ROI underestimated). Google plans to expand computing power by 1,000 times over the next 4 to 5 years, while NVIDIA's shipment CAGR during the same period is only 140%, making the gap difficult to bridge in the short term. Enterprise token monthly consumption is only $11, while single-project AI transformation saves $55, with an ROI exceeding 20 times. Budget caps are a phase adjustment rather than a demand inflection point. The U.S. data center power gap is expected to reach 38GW between 2026 and 2028, with 14 states across the country drafting regulatory bills. Morgan Stanley recommends gradually increasing positions during thematic pullbacks of 5% and 15%.
