Golden Finance reports that Gulf countries have issued $112 billion in bonds so far this year, setting a record high for the same period in history. Since 2022, the bond issuance scale of these countries during the same period has more than doubled. Currently, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and Qatar are seeking financing to build infrastructure that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz. This includes constructing new ports in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman, repairing aging oil and gas pipelines, and improving the road networks in these countries. Just last week, Kuwait raised $6 billion, attracting investor subscription orders totaling $14.8 billion—more than double the issuance amount—indicating that demand for Gulf countries' bonds remains strong.
