Really envy you guys playing with altcoins, always so happy—except on the day the price crashes. A while back, I saw a lot of people discussing DEXE on X. At the time, I was like, what even is this? Checked it out today, and wow, it went from a high of $49 all the way down to $1.5, evaporating 97% of its value. Damn, is this Super Mario or what? Did some digging, and the most widespread theory in the market right now is that the crash was caused by DWF dumping. But as a battle-hardened veteran (who’s been rugged countless times), I’m just here to eat popcorn for now. On-chain analysts speculate that DEXE is a collateral asset officially supported by Falcon Finance @falconfinance. Users deposit DEXE as collateral, and Falcon’s assets are then handed over to third-party custodians, one of which is Ceffu. On-chain data shows that since February this year, addresses labeled as Ceffu have transferred nearly 800,000 DEXE to Binance. The largest single transfer happened on July 22, right around the time of this massive price drop. Considering the existing partnerships between Falcon, DWF, and Ceffu, people naturally connected the dots and pinned the blame for the dump on DWF. But here’s an interesting detail worth noting: Ceffu uses a mechanism called MirrorX. In simple terms, the real assets are locked in custody and don’t move, but the exchange can create a 1:1 mirrored position for trading, margin adjustments, and risk management. The actual on-chain transfers happen later through off-chain settlements. So, you end up with this curious phenomenon: the price crashes first, and then the large on-chain transfer shows up much later. That said, what’s done is done. Whether it was market makers, the project team, or a chain reaction of liquidations, for those who lost money, it doesn’t really make much of a difference. The real lesson here isn’t about ‘who dumped it.’ It’s about this: ‘You know they’re going to dump, and they know you know they’re going to dump. So, the real question is—when are *you* going to get out?’
