[Kenya Dismantles an Online Fraud Den, Deports a Group of Chinese Nationals Suspected of Online Fraud]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Kenyan police have dismantled an online fraud den in the Kilimani area of Nairobi and arrested and deported a group of Chinese nationals suspected of online fraud. For some time, cross-border online fraud and cyber gambling criminal groups have been accelerating their shift and infiltration into African regions. Some criminals, under the guise of high-paying job offers or business cooperation, rent apartments and residences to set up illegal dens, recruiting individuals to engage in cross-border fraud activities. This not only disrupts local social governance but also poses significant risks to the personal and property safety, as well as the normal production and livelihood, of all Chinese nationals in Kenya. The Chinese Embassy in Kenya solemnly calls on all Chinese nationals in Kenya to:
1. Adhere to the legal bottom line.
2. Actively participate in joint prevention and governance.
3. Beware of online fraud traps.
