[Poolin Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in the U.S., Plans $52 Million Sale of Texas Mining Facility]
According to TheMinerMag, former global largest Bitcoin mining pool Poolin has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S., planning to sell its Bitcoin mining assets in Texas for $52 million and cease operations. Poolin and its two U.S.-based affiliated companies submitted a voluntary petition to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey on July 22, with liabilities amounting to approximately $173 million, of which about $163.7 million are unsecured IOUs issued to Poolin Wallet users after withdrawals were suspended during the 2022 crypto market downturn. Approximately 11,700 wallet users hold balances exceeding $100. Its two Texas mining facilities ceased mining and hosting operations on July 10.
