[U.S. Military Internal Investigation Initially Concludes 'Accidental Strike' on Iranian School]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, an ongoing internal investigation by the U.S. military has preliminarily concluded that the missile strike on an Iranian elementary school was an 'accidental strike.' The investigation states that on February 28, during an airstrike on an Iranian military base, a 'Tomahawk' cruise missile 'accidentally struck' the elementary school in Minab, Iran. It is reported that the U.S. military 'used outdated data provided by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency' when selecting the target coordinates, which led to the school being 'misidentified' as a military target. The investigation also notes that the school building 'was previously part of an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base but was repurposed as a school between 2013 and 2016.'
