Tradeweb strategic investment Kalshi explores event contract trading

Electronic trading platform Tradeweb Markets announced a strategic investment in prediction market operator Kalshi and has acquired a minority stake. The specific investment amount and equity ratio have not been disclosed yet. Both parties will integrate event driven market data and explore new infrastructure for trading event contracts through the Tradeweb electronic platform. Tradeweb plans to integrate Kalshi's real-time event probability data into its rate and credit trading platform, including user interfaces, APIs, and data download tools, for institutional clients to reference predicted market probabilities in macro trading processes.
