Avalanche Policy Alliance establishes advisory committee, calls for global cryptocurrency regulatory collaboration
On February 3rd, according to The Block, the Avalanche Policy Alliance announced the establishment of an advisory committee on February 3rd, led by Lee Schneider, General Counsel of Ava Labs, and joined by UK House of Lords MP Chris Holmes and several executives from the Avalanche ecosystem. The committee will focus on three core priorities in 2026: token classification, intermediary definition, and Internet access protection. At the time of the committee's establishment, the United States was working to pass a comprehensive encryption regulation bill, the European Union had begun implementing MiCA regulations, the United Kingdom planned to launch a new regulatory framework in 2027, and Japan continued to lead in rule making.
