[PayPal Survey: Large Enterprises Leading the Adoption of Cryptocurrency Payments] According to The Block, a merchant survey released by PayPal shows that the adoption of cryptocurrency payments is being led by large enterprises, with nearly 85% of respondents expecting cryptocurrency payments to become widespread within the next five years. The survey, conducted in late October 2025, found that approximately 40% of surveyed merchants have already accepted cryptocurrency payments. These merchants reported that cryptocurrency payments account for 'more than a quarter' of their total sales, with about three-quarters of them indicating that their cryptocurrency sales have grown over the past year. Among large enterprises with annual revenues exceeding $500 million, the adoption rate reached as high as 50%, significantly higher than that of small and medium-sized businesses. The survey also highlighted that nearly 90% of merchants expressed willingness to try cryptocurrency payments if the experience could be as convenient as traditional card payments and if the setup process were as simple as accepting credit cards. PayPal's head of crypto business stated that the data indicates cryptocurrency payments are transitioning from the experimental phase to everyday commercial applications, driven by customer demand for faster and more flexible payment methods.
