Not sure why MEMEs on the SOL chain are trending again today. A lot of people are talking about 114514. I remember the last time Japanese MEMEs were trending, it was based on a really complex kanji (forgot which one). Back then, it was hyped as the first kanji MEME, seemed to be popular for a while, but of course, it all went to zero in the end. Did a quick background check: 114514 comes from a Japanese film from 2001 called *BABYLON STAGE 34: A Midsummer Night’s Lewd Dream the IMP*. In the film, a line from one of the actors (nicknamed "Beast Senpai" by netizens) — “いいよ！こいよ！” (roughly “Come on! Alright!” in Japanese) — was turned into a meme using the number 114514 as a pun. Looking at the chart, it’s already showing the classic MEME pattern. Not sure if there’s going to be a second wave.
