Only 33% of stocks in the S&P 500 outperformed the index. This one reason active funds had one of worst yrs vs the index, only 27% did better. Yet again many burned by underweighting Mag 7, overthinking things a la the midwit meme. Maybe it will work in 2026 tho. We'll see.. (Eric Balchunas)
