A few days ago, I was joking with @dov_wo that I’m the most die-hard bull believer in the Chinese CT crypto space. No matter how bad the market gets, every single one of my posts says: if you’re gonna die, die in crypto. But from a trader’s perspective, there’s a real issue here: 95% of crypto assets just follow the big daddy $BTC’s market trends. Except for stuff like $USDT and $PAXG, there’s basically no high-volume asset that clearly moves in a direction independent of BTC. This is frustrating for traders because, unless you’re an institution, most traders have some level of gambling addiction. Even though we keep saying “go touch grass more,” touching grass 300 days a year—how’s that gonna work? You can’t leave traders with nothing to do. That’s exactly why we need to bring this so-called RWA pricing on-chain and open pools. On-chain, no one gives a crap about whether there’s “real-world backing” behind it. What $USDT-based users care about is whether they can trade something with $USDT 365 days a year.
