Stani has been buying AAVE, and his current holdings have exceeded $12 million. Not sure if this is about acquiring voting power, but having Aave Labs as a major holder helps align interests. At its core, this is just treating the symptoms, not the root cause. To fundamentally solve governance issues, a DAO must have the ability to take over the project to create a balance of power with the team. Otherwise, it will still be controlled by the team. The key issue is: who really holds the 'real power'? The team holds a large amount of tokens. While on the surface this ties everyone's interests to the tokens, if the team has bad intentions, there are too many ways to profit. The only solution is for the DAO to be able to take over the project at any time. Through competition and negotiation, interests will naturally become more balanced. Right now, the DAO wants more benefits but doesn’t actually want Labs to leave, which puts them in a passive position. Just put yourself in their shoes, and you’ll understand.
