The Systematic Land Registration Programme was never meant to be a pilot, and with nearly 10,000 titles issued, we have proven it works and is ready for full implementation. Our next focus is Westmoreland, where Hurricane Melissa exposed long-standing weaknesses in land settlement. Many residents there do not own the land they occupy, creating uncertainty and shaping how communities live and build. We will ensure that citizens in Westmoreland have a fair opportunity to access land in a way that is orderly, legal, and sustainable.(Andrew Holness)
