[National Bureau of Statistics: PPI rises month-on-month for two consecutive months, positive factors supporting reasonable price recovery continue to accumulate]
According to China.com, Fu Linghui, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, stated that in November, the PPI rose by 0.1% month-on-month, mainly due to increased seasonal demand for energy use in winter, cold protection, and heating, as well as the regulation of market competition order and the transmission effects of rising international non-ferrous metal prices. From a year-on-year perspective, the PPI decreased by 2.2%, with the decline widening by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, primarily due to the high base effect from the same period last year. From the changes in PPI, positive factors promoting reasonable price recovery are still accumulating. Overall, the PPI has risen month-on-month for two consecutive months, and positive factors supporting reasonable price recovery continue to accumulate. However, it should also be noted that the PPI is still declining year-on-year, and further efforts are needed to consolidate the foundation for reasonable price recovery. In the next stage, efforts should be made to continue expanding domestic demand, strengthening the domestic circulation, advancing the construction of a unified national market in depth, enhancing capacity governance in key industries, improving supply-demand relationships, promoting reasonable price recovery, and improving business operations.
