Today, in addition to the treat for kids, families received storage buckets for potable water, something that becomes critical when electricity is out and regular supply is disrupted. These five-gallon containers allow people to safely store water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and hygiene, reducing waste and making distribution more efficient.
This initiative reflects the kind of practical support communities need right now. Through the partnership between the National Water Commission and Yello, clean water and sanitized, reusable containers are reaching people who need them most, especially in areas still feeling the effects of disruption.
Our focus remains restoring normalcy as quickly as possible, but until then, we will continue to support communities with solutions that make daily life safer and more manageable.
I commend Yello and the NWC for this excellent initiative.(Andrew Holness)
