I went through the last full bear market, and the sentiment now is almost identical. There are always people saying the four-year cycle no longer exists, calling it an atypical bull. There are always people hoping for the fully priced-in liquidity expectations, refusing to give up, and when they’re stuck, they just say, 'wait another four years.' Why bother?
