Privacy projects have been trending lately, and one of the more popular ones, @zama, is launching via a closed Dutch auction.
Quick rundown of the rules: you set your psychological price, and the final price is determined uniformly—purely based on market expectations.
The highlight of the project, in my opinion, is the founder: @randhindi, a 'geek prodigy' who started programming at the age of 10. At 14, he co-created a social networking site and used backend data to fight back against bullies. Maybe this was the inspiration behind founding Zama? Most importantly, he’s also an mfer holder, which makes it hard for me not to like him.
The downside is that the overall market liquidity is pretty poor right now. I haven’t figured out how to participate yet, but there’s still time before the launch. I’ll keep an eye on it.
