[User loses $27 million worth of crypto assets, suspected computer malware attack]
BlockBeats reported on December 5 that crypto community user Babur claimed his $27 million worth of cryptocurrency assets were stolen. SlowMist founder Yu Xian analyzed the case, stating, 'Babur's computer was infected with malware (the key issue wasn't the automatic file download, but rather Babur double-clicking and running the file, which led to the computer being infected and the private keys being leaked, including two keys for Safe multisig).'
To my knowledge, this type of malware scam has not targeted iPhones (especially private keys stored locally in wallet apps on iOS). Therefore, I suspect that both of Safe's private keys might have been stored on or accessible from the target computer. Due to limited information, this is just speculation. The key point is: real malware attacks are likely very simple and don't involve advanced techniques, so there's no need for everyone to panic.
