[Coinbase Executives Sued by Shareholders for Alleged Insider Trading Profiting $4.2 Billion] According to Foresight News, citing Decrypt, multiple Coinbase shareholders have filed a lawsuit in Delaware, accusing company executives (including Brian Armstrong and Marc Andreessen) of concealing compliance failures and data breach risks over an extended period, while collectively selling $4.2 billion worth of stock during a period of artificially inflated stock prices, allegedly engaging in massive insider trading. The lawsuit claims that Coinbase had been aware for years of anti-money laundering and KYC violations under investigation, as well as hackers accessing sensitive user data through third-party customer service channels, but delayed disclosing this information. In addition to seeking damages in the billions of dollars, the plaintiffs are also seeking board seats. Previously, Coinbase announced last month that it would relocate its registration from Delaware to Texas, citing dissatisfaction with 'unstable rulings' from Delaware courts.
