As the largest DEXs on EVM and Sol, @Uniswap and @JupiterExchange have coincidentally launched their own ICO platforms. Uniswap’s is called CCA (Continuous Clearing Auctions), and Jupiter’s is called DTF (Decentralized Token Formation).
**CCA Features:**
- A two-week-long auction where the protocol automatically slices each user bid based on the remaining block count. For example: 4 days left in the auction ≈ N blocks.
- If you bid 10 ETH, the funds will be evenly distributed across the remaining blocks to queue for execution.
- In any given block, your bid slice will only execute if the clearing price of that block ≤ your bid cap.
- After the auction ends, the funds will be directly injected into the Uniswap v4 pool, ensuring liquidity.
- In short, the main function of CCA is to help users avoid relying on "fixed price + speed competition" and instead allow the market to "negotiate" the price over several days through continuous clearing auctions.
**DTF Features:**
- Fixed-price transactions without continuous auctions, but provides a standardized token issuance/sale interface on Jupiter that cannot be easily altered, including:
1. Total token supply & FDV/valuation settings.
2. Mandatory disclosure of the allocation of all token supply—everything is on-chain and stored in clearly labeled wallets.
3. Smart contract-enforced token unlock schedules, amounts, rules, etc.
- In short, DTF’s main function is to offer a safer ICO. It not only facilitates fundraising but also locks in many previously uncertain factors directly on Jupiter, preventing malicious actions by project teams and protecting investors.
The first CCA launch is currently ongoing with @aztecnetwork, while the first DTF launch is on December 3rd with @humidifi.

**PS:** Various auction mechanisms can’t fundamentally eliminate the possibility of malicious actions by project teams. However, Jupiter’s ICO mechanism at least theoretically provides a third-party-backed and on-chain-locked solution. So, whether from a cypherpunk perspective or a user asset protection perspective, I personally prefer Jupiter’s new toy.
