When DeFi protocols need AI agents to execute strategies, the fundamental challenge is: How can we prove the correctness of AI reasoning without exposing model parameters and trading strategies? This is why Agentic DeFi cannot exist without zkML. ————————————————————————— Typically, AI agents perform complex reasoning off-chain, but the correctness of the computation process cannot be verified on-chain. Users have to trust the decision-making logic of the agents. In cross-chain operations, every chain needs to re-verify the AI model, leading to wasted computational resources and increased latency. Model parameters are exposed to verifiers, instantly losing the strategic advantage. ————————————————————————— With the advent of zkML Zero-knowledge proofs make AI reasoning verifiable. Agents generate ZK proofs to confirm the correct execution of the model, and on-chain verification only requires validating the mathematical proof instead of re-running the entire reasoning process. Sensitive model weights, training data, and reasoning inputs are encrypted throughout, while ensuring the trustworthiness of the computation results. One proof generation, multi-chain verification. AI agents can execute strategies on Arbitrum, verify results on Polygon, and settle transactions on zkSync. ————————————————————————— Real-world applications are emerging Trading bots are running on the mainnet, generating ZK proofs for every decision, which are recorded on L1, allowing users to verify the correctness of strategy execution. DeFi lending protocols use zkML to verify borrowers' credit scores without exposing specific financial data. Cross-chain arbitrage agents prove their price discovery and execution logic across multiple DEXs, ensuring transparency in MEV extraction. ————————————————————————— Challenges remain severe Proof generation is costly. ZK proofs for large language models still take several minutes or even longer, limiting real-time trading scenarios. The system requires professional GPU clusters to efficiently generate proofs, making it difficult for ordinary users to participate in verification. Proof generation relies on a few technical providers, conflicting with the decentralized ethos of DeFi. ————————————————————————— @cysic_xyz is addressing these core pain points. Through a distributed proof network, proof generation tasks are broken down across thousands of nodes worldwide, reducing single proof generation time from minutes to seconds. The C1 chip and GPU acceleration solutions enable consumer-grade hardware to participate in proof generation. When anyone can contribute computing power and verify reasoning, Agentic DeFi will truly achieve trustless interoperability.
