Kenya and France enjoy cordial diplomatic relations driven by our shared interests. We are committed to strengthening this cooperation to expand opportunities for our people. Held talks with President Emmanuel Macron of France on the sidelines of the 7th African Union-European Union Summit, Luanda, Angola We discussed the Africa France Summit scheduled for Nairobi in May 2026. The summit will bring together Heads of State, business leaders, young entrepreneurs, civil society, investors and creative artists from across Africa and France. It will serve as a platform for new partnerships and showcase Africa as a continent of innovators, exporters and creative talent. Commended President Macron for supporting Africa’s call to reform the UN Security Council, including two permanent seats for the continent with full rights, including the power of veto.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
