V God forwarded Brevis ZKVM's tweet again. I happened to carefully read Brevis' new white paper these days and there are a few things worth sharing. All market expectations for ZK are based on a common knowledge of blockchain technology: The throughput of a chain must be ≤ the processing capacity of a node in its network. The mission of ZK is to decouple "execution" and "verification", entrusting complex execution tasks to professional ZK validators who only perform simple verification work, thus breaking through the bottleneck brought by common sense mentioned earlier. When you separate execution and validation, the functionality on the chain can actually increase: For example, some hooks in Uni V4 are used to add VIP to the pool. However, it needs to confirm the transaction history of the VIP address in the past 30 days and quickly provide whether it meets the eligibility criteria. In the past, Ethereum blocks had an interval of 12 seconds, and this verification work required 2-3 seconds, which was acceptable. But now we are in the era of sub second level blocks, and a few more seconds would be too ugly 。 In the above example, it greatly tests the latency of ZK prover. In addition, for Uni V4 Hooks, some Hooks introduce oracle machines that allow people to implement limit orders and take profit and stop loss orders. These Hooks have a particularly large monthly throughput (using oracle data) and do not require high latency. So ZK's buyers have been divided: some want low latency, while others want high throughput. You cannot blindly provide buyers with simple and rough GPUs. So Brevis is launching a trading market with ZK computing power, ProverNet。 In this market, there are quite a few technical details, so I won't go into detail here. Those interested can read the white paper. Generally speaking, it consists of four parts: How can buyer demand be divided? (Delay? Throughput?) What is the mechanism of auction? (Double Auction) Where will the auction be held? (Brevis Chain, using BREV Token as PoS node) 4. How to make payment? (BREV Token) To sum up, after using ZK, even though the execution and verification are decoupled and productivity is improved, people's pursuit of material life also increases. Looking forward to more diverse gameplay for DEX on the chain in the future, allowing CEX to slowly follow and learn from behind 。
