While banks are busy lobbying the government to ban stablecoin issuers and exchanges from offering interest to users, and the battle is heating up on both sides, AAVE stepped up today and launched a standalone savings app directly targeting non-crypto users from traditional banks. It supports over 12,000 bank cards, allowing users to deposit funds in fiat currency and enjoy 9% interest. They're going head-to-head with banks for deposits. The app is already live but still in the whitelist phase.
