[YU Stablecoin by Yala Depegs, Drops to $0.47]
BlockBeats News, November 17: According to market data, Yala's stablecoin YU has depegged and dropped to $0.47.
On November 15, the DeFi community YAM published a post stating that Yala's stablecoin YU exhibited suspicious activity. A related address borrowed USDC at extremely high interest rates but has yet to repay the loan. An address closely associated with Yala is fully borrowing USDC and most of the YU funds from Yala Frontier's market on Euler. Despite the persistently high interest rates, no repayment actions have been made. Currently, the market's fund utilization rate has reached 100%, meaning lenders are unable to withdraw any liquidity. The Euler team has also set the borrowing cap for Yala's market on Frontier to zero.
YAM added that YU is still maintaining its peg on Solana, with nearly $1 million in USDC remaining in its liquidity pool, allowing exits at the pegged price. This article serves more as a risk warning, and it is not yet confirmed whether Yala is truly in distress.
